Fingerprint records taken by Sir William Herschel in 1959/60.

Herschel was among the first who recognized that fingerprinting could be utilized for identification, and began adding them to contracts when he was stationed in India during The Indian Rebellion of 1857. He recorded his own fingerprints over his life to prove the permanence of epidermal patterning, and used his whole handprint as a signature.
