I am not one to second guess myself on which team I like second best, but I sort of am tonight. It is not because the Phillies are winning over the Braves 9-0, or that they have the best chances at winning the World Series, but because I see all of the fans and remember myself until I was 10-11 years-old at Citizens Bank.

WHY DID MY PARENTS MAKE ME LIVE IN THREE DIFFERENT STATES?

Also, the Rays are still my favourite team, of course.

Major League Baseball can send the N.L. Rookie of the Year trophy down to Atlanta now, Freddie Freeman and Craig Kimbrel can figure out who keeps it.  Freeman is hitting .293 with 18 long balls, not to mention Gold Glove caliber defense.  Kimbrel is only leading all of baseball with 39 saves.  The rookie flamethrower has a tiny ERA of 1.72 and 101 K’s in just 63 innings.

I just bought tickets to travel to Miami today to see this man play versus the Marlins. Now, tonight, he decides to get injured so I cannot see him on August 9th when I travel there. What gives, life?

Rays-Braves-Phillies. It sounds odd but Braves and the Phillies are very close, but I remember more memories at Turner Field and it had a bigger impact on my life than Citizens Bank. I was a bit older at Turner Field and went there many more times than Citizens Bank, so that may be why. All three teams hold a special place in my heart.

While all of you know I love the Rays more than anything, it is hard to forget where you came from.
